CrossFit Level 1 Certification
CrossFit Nutrition Certification
I was a military brat growing up, so learning how to adapt has been a huge part of my story. I moved a lot and met a lot of great people. I began CrossFit 2 years ago and fell in love with it, so much so that after a year of doing classes I got my Level 1 certificate to coach. I love seeing athletes achieve their goals and overall become healthier individuals. I started coaching at 16, as a girls' gymnastics and power tumbling coach, so this plays a lot into my CrossFit coaching as well. I was a competitive cheerleader in high school, as well as a track runner (sprinter). I’ve loved being active my whole life and am excited to continue through CrossFit.
The turning point in my life was breaking a cycle. My family carries the cycle of addiction, and that became a factor in my life once I reached college. I didn’t have the greatest upbringing, so handling my problems with substances and other things became my way of coping. I hit a turning point one morning and decided “this is not the person I want to be.” I found the Lord, who has brought me out of some terrible situations and is quite honestly the only reason I am alive. After following the Lord for four years, I am a wife to the most amazing husband, I no longer use substances to cope with issues, and have become more mentally, emotionally, and physically healthy!
I LOVE coaching. I love getting to know my athletes and their goals. I understand how hard life can be sometimes, and I truly believe that sports (whatever they may be) and fitness can be great coping skills/outlets for those hard times in life. When my athletes let me in on their lives and who they want to be, I think of my own story and it drives my passion to coach them to the best of my ability.
